Food $ense in Walla Walla
County
Washington state consistently ranks in the nation's top ten
in hunger rates and Walla Walla is no stranger to hungry families.
Additionally, the rise in adult and childhood obesity rates nationwide
indicates the need for educating families about wise nutritional
choices.
The WSU Food $ense Nutrition Education program helps these families
learn nutrition basics and smart buying strategies to help them
sustain their food supply throughout each month and to introduce
important nutritional concepts for better health.
