Youth Program
Teen Opportunities
- Junior Leadership Project - Recommended for
teens in 6th through 8th grade. Teens work under the direction
of an adult and help younger members to get acquainted, select
a project, understand records, participate in club meetings, learn
parliamentary procedure, and become involved in club and county
events.
- Teen Leadership Project - Recommended for teens
in 9th through 12th grade. Teens assist an adult leaser by teaching
project skills or knowledge, teaching presentation skills or record
keeping, preparing members for fairs, assisting club members and
more.
- Southeast District Teen Rally - A weekend event
held each fall for youths in 8 through 12. Teens will be able
to enjoy making new friends, developing leadership skills, participating
in team building games and other fun activities.
- Know Your Government Conference - A hands-on
learning conference focusing on some aspect of government. The
conference topic and curriculum change yearly, in order to keep
it updated and relevant to current events and issues. See: WSU

- County Council Teen Leader-at-Large - Appointed
by the 4-H council to participate in county leader meetings and
provide the council with fresh ideas and a youth perspective.
- County Teen Representative - The teen receives
training in leadership and program development in order to improve
communication throughout the county and organize county and district
events.
